The Conductor of the Muses

Pianist and accordionist Dallas Vietty has been performing professionally since the age of 15. Originally from California, his formal education includes study of arranging, composition and piano performance at California State University Northridge in Los Angeles. His professional experience includes performances with groups large and small at legendary clubs such as The Jazz Bakery and Catalina’s Bar in Los Angeles. He has recorded at Capital Records in Hollywood, and toured Tokyo, Osaka and Fukaoka, Japan with the Blue Note Swing Orchestra. Dallas is the musical director for film and television actress (Airplane, The Love Boat) actress Jill Whelan and has worked with acclaimed musicians The Creek Dippers and Alex Acuna. Dallas has performed at the Zipper Theater, The Daryl Roth Theater, and most recently a three week engagement at the famed Metropolitan Room in New York City. He has contributed compositions to works which have been performed in Montreal, Canada and Edinburgh, Scotland as well as DVD and online works. Dallas keeps a private piano studio and teaches around the country.
